ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the adjective stellar is used to denote “the astronomical world and its phenomena” while the second sense of the word calling is invoked to denote “a vocation” or “strong urge”, altogether meaning “a vocation to dedicate oneself to understanding the mysteries of the astronomical world.”
